Project Description
This project involves the end-to-end consultancy and development of a 3,500 TPD (tons per day) Greenfield Cement Plant near Jabal Saraj, Afghanistan. The project aims to establish a fully operational cement manufacturing facility, covering all phases from exploration and feasibility studies to plant construction, commissioning, and operation.
Scope of Work
- Desktop Studies and Reconnaissance Survey.
- Surface sampling from the potential quarry site.
- Preliminary Pre-feasibility study.
- Initial Environmental Studies.
- Exploration drilling of limestone and clay areas for resource estimation at International Standard.
- Detailed topographic and geological mapping.
- Preliminary design and engineering of 3500 TPD green field cement plant.
- Selection and approval of main plant & equipment supplier.
- Civil design and construction of the plant.
- Mechanical and electrical equipment erection.
- Construction supervision.
DES prepared complete bidding documents, including technical and environmental feasibilities, and conducted contract review and negotiations with the Ministry of Mines & Petroleum. After multiple rounds of negotiations and exchange of documents, a contract was finally signed with the Ministry of Mines & Petroleum, Afghanistan, on July 7, 2021.
